My introduction to art began in Ceramics, and I fell in love with it. I love the idea of working with clay and forming it into whatever I want. When I branched out to other mediums, I did it because I thought it would inspire new ideas for my ceramic work. I moved into photography and fell in love again. I never knew that once you captured a moment on film that there was a whole procedure to actually develop the photo. It helped me appreciate the process of creating something. Next on my journey was painting. I did not fall in love with painting as quickly as the other mediums. It forced me to slow down and be intentional. Ceramics, photography, and painting all teach me different components of creation and allow me to strive to be a better artist.
