I've mainly focused on the 3D medium in my artistic career. I find it's much more tactile and personal than any other medium. To feel the glass flow across the rod, to feel the clay take form beneath my hands; I feel like every piece has a part of myself in it. Not only is there the visual qualities of the art, but the physical touch and feel of it can convey so much to the viewer. To feel the differences between sharp and smooth, to watch the light dance across as you turn it in your hands. Your vision changes and takes new shapes as it finds its place in the world.
